The Sment are more formidable than they seem! Well, until something breaks their concentration.

Oh, you are not alone MeMe. It does make a lot of sense to me as well although the leader is forcing it too much. Not that you should be given a choice according to his plans anyway...

lmao, was MeMe even going to open the cell? He is like chilling there :D

So how does it work? Are they loyal? Brainwashed? Cloned? Magic? Looks like something magical.
How sure is the leader? Because I do not see this working very much. He is simply absorbing Smilans instead of actually convincing them (except MeMe lmao).
It is more of a sect than a system. And sects can suck it :/

I think these ideologies are only frightening when they are also really compelling! Me-Me's probably kind of impressionable, too.

I swear I'm not trying to inject any political allegory here; in fact, I'm trying not too, but in my head, the smen felt excluded or insufficient on their own. Only by emphasizing their unity and opposition to all the other "kinds" of smilans out there do they feel secure. Of course, you put a bunch of similarly-thinking people together to talk about their alienation long enough, and they'll brainwash each other. Then it turns out that by sharing thoughts, they possess some kind of mystical power. Thank goodness it doesn't work that way with humans.

Nah. There is all kind of political BS more than ever everywhere, haha. To me it is like... I have stuff to code. That is it. World is code and whoever takes care of the repositories is the admin. I have my own.

I actually find the one-mind idea pretty cool. Theoretically, if you have one-minded people, you eliminate a lot of problems. I am not talking about only some but everyone without question programmed for one thing.
I guess that is why the Tau Empire of the Greater Good in the WH40k universe is so popular, haha.

Ha good attitude. I don't want Mecha to be political at all, but I suppose things seep into your subconscious regardless. You know my views and you have a probing insight into this comic so I'm sure it all seems plain as day to you!

And your right, collective consciousness would really solve almost every problem we face! With a cost, of course. FYI, I had to Google your referense X)
