This page speaks for itself.

But ya know what doesn't?

There's a new Smilocide webcomic! Read it HERE. It's an anthology series called Smilocide Tales and each chapter is about a different set of characters from around the Smilocide Universe. The first chapter is already concluded, but the second begins today, and it's about a familiar cast of characters to MS readers. Surely you remember Mauve Team from The Adventures of Mecha-Smiles, like way back here in chapter three (I'm looking at you, Jak). They're back!

The Smilans have the MS and then the questionably competent super hero wannabe team and uh the police. So basically only the MS, lmao. Because they are always in total panic and it does not look like their cities have other sorts of protection :D

Also, yeah. MT is cute but you know, it is always about the sister. Lanna would be nice ;)

Smilans are not too bright... Pretty helpless little buggers. Lucky they're on Supirion. On earth, evolution would have probably weeded them out.

Ha! You kill me. And I'm glad you think so! She's back in the first page of the Mauve team series.

They were still able to understand and steal our tech :D
That makes me think how much luck was involved in that process, lmao.

Very true! A majority of the technical stuff the smilans delegate to the bugers. The bugers love that stuff.

Additionally, there are five smilan reproductive groups, for lack of a better term. It's more than sex or gender, though, and some of them have different attributes. the Alskrin, for instance, are noted for higher intelligence (they're usually the ones with hair).

I reverse engineered or modded some stuff for friends or clients and it is not easy. Sometimes better said to be impossible if the task is unreasonable or you lack the proper tools or sometimes helpful contacts.
Regardless of that though, you are not going to do much without knowledge of the domain. They probably could not just imitate the MS's engine without understanding what type it is and how propulsion works. Or to construct a mecha without the knowledge of its mechanism's kinematic model or the system's set of inertial parameters and so forth.

Current year on Earth here is like... in the 80s? I think? And we are talking about the collective tech knowledge we have here.

Basically, the Bugers are quite impressive :O

True enough! The Bugers are definitely smarter than me, which makes them a bit hard to write XD

Yeah, it's about 1990. I'm impressed with how well you've followed the timeline!

That has nothing to do with smarts. It is research and interests and (un)familiarity. You sound like some of my students (with the XD as well) ;)

Really. The Bugers are very impressive because they understood collective tech stuff of a single civilized planet in a very short time :D

Ha! True enough.

The bugers are pretty clever, but they're also sessile organisms, so there are very few distractions!

Right. That is called staring at the breadboard thinking (roughly) how many kOhms you are going to need ;D

Sounds like you've found your kind! I'm sure they'd welcome you. They can always use programmers!
